Financial clarity for builders and contractors
Airus was founded by someone who ran a commercial roofing company. We understand job costing, cash flow timing, and what it takes to keep a construction business profitable. This isn't theory. It's operator experience.
Built by someone who ran a construction company
Before founding Airus, our CEO Brad Strawbridge built and operated Capital City Roofing, a commercial roofing company in Atlanta. He managed field crews, subcontractor coordination, job costing, payroll, insurance, and cash flow. When we say we understand construction finance, it's because we've lived it.
That experience is why our construction practice goes deeper than generic accounting. We know what WIP reports should actually look like. We understand retainage timing and how it impacts cash flow. We know the difference between a profitable job and a job that just keeps the crew busy. And we build the systems that let you see those differences in real time.
The financial challenges every contractor faces
Job Costing Gaps
Most contractors don't know their true cost per job until the project is done. By then, it's too late to fix a margin problem. Real-time job costing changes everything.
Cash Flow Timing
Long payment cycles, retainage holdbacks, and front-loaded material costs create cash flow gaps that can sink a profitable company. You need forecasting that accounts for construction-specific timing.
WIP Reporting
Work-in-progress reporting is required for bonding, banking, and management decisions. Without accurate WIP, you're making growth decisions blind.
Progress Billing Complexity
AIA billing, schedule of values, change orders, and retainage tracking create layers of financial complexity that basic bookkeeping can't handle.
Subcontractor Management
Managing sub costs, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and payment timing across multiple projects requires systems, not spreadsheets.
Bonding and Banking Requirements
Surety bonding and credit lines require clean financials, accurate WIP reports, and demonstrated financial controls. Sloppy accounting limits your growth.
